The Supervillains

BIO

What they say is absolutely true: There is no rest for the weary. After a relentless tour schedule direct-supporting some of the nation's hottest acts over the last 2 years, the Supervillains spent the first part of 2008 recording their sophomore release on LAW Records titled "MASSIVE." Recorded at Orlando's Fighting Studios under the guidance of producer James Wisner (Justin Timberlake, Slightly Stoopid) the album was dropped nationally in October 2008 and has received impressive reviews across the country thusfar. Since the release of "Massive", the Supervillains have been on the road pounding the pavement from Seattle to the Virgin Islands getting the word out to the streets that this album is FOR REAL. To promote the album, the 'Villains direct-supported good friends PEPPER (who also founded LAW) for the innaugural LAW Records Tour, selling out 40+ shows nationwide in the midst of a recession. After the LAW Tour, the band routed back from the west coast direct-supporting Slightly Stoopid for the first 3 weeks of February (all shows sold out) and landing safe in sound back in their hometown of Orlando, Florida.

Now that "Massive" has been introduced to the world and has had time to marinate with the fans, the Supervillains are heading out to headline their own tour supporting the new album. With the support of their longtime sponsor Jagermeister, the band will be hooking up with Pepper and Pennywise for the Northeast leg of the Jagermeister Musictour 2009. After a couple of one-off dates with Pepper, the Supervillains will continue to push every market and put on one of the best live shows in America.

Be on the lookout for full-band, stripped-down acoustic sets in local record stores across the nation and reports from the road by drummer/vocalist Dom Maresco on his infamous weekly video segment "The Cocktail Blog", where he calls it as he sees it (sensitive types need not apply). As advertised, the Supervillains hurricane will be picking up speed nationwide this summer, bringing their intense reggae-punk, unique energy and "anything goes" live show to theatres across the country from May 4th until June 15th. As LAW Records CEO, Yesod Williams (drummist for Pepper) likes to say about his boys the Supervillains: "Things are getting MASSIVE these days." Massive indeed.
